If ever there were a
“needs no introduction” winemaker…

Cotes-du-Rhone 'Mon Coeur' 2022
JL’s 2022 Mon Coeur is a blend of syrah, grenache and mouvedre from top Côtes-du-Rhône vineyards including Vinsobres, Buisson, Estrange and Visan. Brisk, lush and powerful, it offers a long warming finish of juicy black fruit with a stony, dry finish. The wine is aged in very large Stockinger casks to virtually eliminate wood flavors, while allowing the juice to integrate beautifully over about eighteen months.
Regular price is/will be $24.00.
Price through 4/25 is $20.00

Saint-Joseph Rouge 'Offerus' 2022
Long time Offerus fans note: the fruit in the 2022 is almost all from Chave owned vineyards these days. As always, this 100% syrah is deep, dark and complex. With regard to the Saint-Joseph appellation, as we noted elsewhere “What Jean-Louis' father Gerard brought to world stature, Jean-Louis has both faithfully maintained and carefully somehow made better. A large part of Jean-Louis' legacy may turn out to be how he's had a large hand helping shape the Saint-Joseph appellation to a centered, potentially world class designation.” Offerus fruit includes estate vines in Mauves (home of the winery), Tournon and St. Jean du Muzols - and includes grapes from vines up to eighty years old. The combination of energy and complexity make this bottle an exceptional value, and a wine which will benefit from a few years of patiently waiting for you to decide when to open (though tonight wouldn’t be a bad move).
Regular price is/will be $37.50
Price through 4/25 is $31.25

Crozes-Hermitage Rouge 'Silene' 2022
The new 2022 Silene from “the real” Crozes-Hermitage rouge is lively and delicious. For those holding off on buying a one or two hundred dollar Hermitage, know that Silene is from vines JL owns and planted himself nearly twenty years ago (in fact we saw and discussed those very plantings with him when he was starting up this part of his production at the beginning of this century). Unlike some wines from this appellation, most all of the fruit is from hillside, granite-based terroir right next door to the Hermitage appellation itself. The element of place adds to why this wine stands out even more from others in the marketplace today. The literal slippery slopes of Silene grow in a base of small stones resting over syrah-loving granite.
Regular price is/will be $34.50
Price through 4/25 is $29.00

Crozes Hermitage Blanc 'Sybele' 2022
Made from the classic blend of Chave’s Hermitage blanc - Marsanne and Roussanne - JL’s Sybele (at the very border of Hermitage) from Crozes-Hermitage is awesome! A critic mentioned notes of jasmine and ginger - not bad. And this from our importer friend and his recent tasting at the Domaine in Mauves - Predominantly Le Jardin Vineyard, which is on Hermitage Hill, just north of the boundary for AOC Hermitage. Rich on the front then a crunchy textured minerality.”
Regular price is/will be $34.50
Price through 4/25 is $29.00
