Undeniably—Friuli produces some of Italy's finest wines: red and white. The region is home to a cross-section of terrific producers along with a handful of great ones.
Paolo and Damiano Meroi are in that handful. The Meroi duo has worked closely with wunderkind winemaker Enzo Pontoni whose Miani wines are at the top echelon of ALL European wines. With Enzo in your corner, great wines are even greater.
We first met Paolo Meroi at his winery in Buttrio (Friuli) on May 17, 2002. We go back a ways...
